Breathe it in: care you don’t have to earn
Happy Friday, lovely! It’s time to fuck some shit up!
✨ SPELL
Even when the moon isn’t new or full, we don’t have to wait for a “special” sky to practice reclaiming ourselves.
Ritual isn’t about the calendar—it’s about interrupting the grind, reorienting to what matters, and reminding yourself you’re not just here to produce.
Here’s a ritual for this week, aligned with the current zodiacal season. Minimal supplies. Maximum reclamation.
Air for Reflection
Libra season is ruled by air—clear, intentional, relational. This week’s ritual is about using breath and reflection to shift how you see yourself, because glamour magic isn’t just lipstick and mirrors. It’s deciding what truth about you gets amplified.
Supplies:
Mirror (any size)
Your breath
Steps:
Sit with the mirror. Look into your own eyes—not your flaws, not your hair, not the laundry list of critiques you’ve been taught to carry.
Inhale deeply, exhale onto the glass, letting your breath mist it.
With your finger, trace a word you want to claim in this season: worthy, radiant, unbreakable, alive.
Whisper:
This is what I choose to see.
This is what I choose to be.Let the mist fade, leaving the word invisible but present.
This isn’t vanity—it’s reclamation. Because how you see yourself shapes how you care for yourself.
🎉 The Mammogram Party
Saturday, October 11, we’ll be practicing another form of body-glamour: collective care.
The Mammogram Party is about turning something clinical and often scary into solidarity, laughter, and ritual. Because courage doesn’t always look like fighting—it often looks like showing up for yourself and each other.
Book your mammogram with the Diagnostic Imaging Centers mobile mammography bus here and join us at The Littlest Bakeshop here in Kansas City. (There will be boob cupcakes.)
With air, reflection, and radiant defiance,
Keli Lyn Jewel
PS:
Self-care isn’t indulgence. It’s preparation. Take the breath. See yourself clearly. Then show up October 11, mist and mirror and all.
