Tomorrow, Venus turns around. Here's how to meet it.

A ritual for the day before the retrograde, and what it's actually asking of you.

Tomorrow, Venus stations retrograde in Scorpio.

If you've been feeling a low hum of something unresolved in your relationships (with people, with money, with your own desires), that hum is about to get louder. Not because Venus retrograde breaks things, but because it illuminates what was already asking for attention before you were ready to give it.

Scorpio doesn't do surface-level review. It goes to the root. It asks what's actually true beneath what you've been performing. And Venus retrograde in Scorpio specifically asks:
- What do you actually value?
- What do you actually want?
- What have you been settling for because wanting more felt dangerous or inconvenient or too much to admit?

You have today—one more day of Venus moving forward—to set an anchor.

Not a resolution. An anchor. Something to hold onto when the retrograde starts stirring the sediment.

✨ SPELL

  • Even when the moon isn’t new or full, we don’t have to wait for a “special” sky to practice reclaiming ourselves.

Ritual isn’t about the calendar—it’s about interrupting the grind, reorienting to what matters, and reminding yourself you’re not just here to produce.

Here’s a ritual for this week, aligned with the current zodiacal season. Minimal supplies. Maximum reclamation.

Earth for Pre-Retrograde Grounding

A ritual for the last day of direct motion, setting your emotional baseline before the review begins.

Supplies:

  • A small stone or heavy object

  • Paper and pen

Steps:

  1. Write one truth about what you value most right now. Not what you think you should value. What you actually do.

  2. Hold the stone in both hands.

  3. Say aloud: "This is what I know to be true. I hold it while everything else gets reviewed."

  4. Keep the stone somewhere visible through November 13, when Venus turns direct.

This isn't about preventing the retrograde from doing its work. It's about making sure you don't lose yourself in it.

✊ HEX

  • You don’t need a rundown of the headlines. You’re living them. Whether you’re in the U.S. or just suffering under its ripple effects, the harm is real—and relentless.

    This isn’t catharsis. It’s counter-spell.

Each HEX is a ritual of refusal—a channel for holy rage, spiritual disruption, and deliberate, directed dissent.

Here’s who we’re targeting. And what to do about it.

She Said With 100% Confidence

Let me tell you about Jane Doe.

She was 20 years old on October 19, 2024. She went out that night with her sorority sisters. She ended up at the Chi Phi fraternity house at Cornell University. What happened next lasted until 5:45 in the morning and involved seven men, a group Snapchat message that read "free pussyy upstairs," ketamine, and hours of assault.

Three weeks later, she went to Cornell University Police. She sat through two days of interviews. She told them, in what investigators later described as "very specific and very comprehensive detail," what happened to her. She made more than twenty handwritten corrections to her written statement to make sure it was accurate. And she said (and these are her words on record), "I can say with 100% confidence I was raped."

Then she signed the statement.

Then she waited.

Then the DA declined to bring charges, citing her initial statement as describing the sexual activity as "voluntary, conscious, and consensual," using a six-page document that omitted the context of what happened after she was drugged, as evidence that nothing criminal occurred. He never contacted her for follow-up. His office never interviewed her again. She was never contacted by investigators from the DA's office at all after that initial report.

She dropped out of Cornell. It had been her dream since she was a little girl.

Two years later, she filed a civil lawsuit naming all seven men. The lawsuit went public in the last few days. The DA, faced with public outcry, reopened the criminal investigation and said he would consider presenting the case to a grand jury.

The New York Attorney General's office announced it was reviewing Cornell's response. Governor Hochul called the allegations 'nothing short of horrifying,' demanded an independent outside investigation of Cornell's handling of the case, and Cornell agreed within 24 hours. Hochul is also considering new legislation to tighten sexual assault laws across the state.

And then Michael Tracey, a man who describes himself as a journalist, posted publicly on social media asking his followers to send him Jane Doe's name and identifying information so he could publish it. His words: "If you happen to know who this Cornell Jane Doe is, get in touch and I would be happy to publish her name and identifying information. And yes, this is 100% permitted under the First Amendment, whatever threats or emotional blackmail people might want to deploy."

He called people who objected "emotional blackmail."

He used the word "balls" to describe whoever would be willing to out her.

Let me name what this is clearly: It is an attempt to silence a rape survivor through the threat of exposure. It is the same mechanism the system has been using against her since 2024. The same logic that took her detailed, corrected, signed statement and found in it a reason not to act. The same logic that treats her credibility as the variable while the seven men in the Snapchat group chat remain the constants.

It is also, notably, the same week that Venus stations retrograde in Scorpio. The planet of values, of desire, of what we will and will not protect, asking all of us what we actually stand for when it costs something.

So today we hex the systems that allowed this.

We hex a university that ran a "Title IX investigation," suspended a couple of students, made a few others write a fucking essay, and called it accountability while a 20-year-old dropped out and moved home, suffering from PTSD.
We hex a DA's office that reviewed a statement describing hours of assault and found in it no crime worth pursuing.
We hex the investigative process that never followed up, never called her back, never asked the follow-up questions.
We hex a media ecosystem that amplifies men who crowdsource the doxxing of rape survivors and calls it journalism.
We hex Michael Tracey specifically, not as a villain but as a symptom of the cultural reflex that treats a woman's anonymity as an obstacle to truth rather than a protection from further harm.
We hex the word "consensual" used as a shield by institutions that benefit from the word's elasticity.
We hex every system, every campus, every DA's office that has ever treated a survivor's trauma response as evidence against her.

And we stand with Jane Doe.

Not as a symbol. As a person who made twenty handwritten corrections to her police statement to make sure she got it right. Who said with 100% confidence she was raped. Who waited two years for the system to catch up to what she already knew. Who is, right now, watching strangers on the internet try to find her name.

If you see her name anywhere — on social media, in comments, anywhere — no, you fucking didn’t. Do not share it. Do not repeat it. Do not amplify the post that contains it.

You didn't see it.
You don't know it.

I'm Jane Doe.
You're Jane Doe.
We're all Jane Doe.
