Your future self has something to say.

A ritual for clarity, disruption, and liberating your next chapter.

✨ SPELL

  • Even when the moon isn’t new or full, we don’t have to wait for a “special” sky to practice reclaiming ourselves.

Ritual isn’t about the calendar—it’s about interrupting the grind, reorienting to what matters, and reminding yourself you’re not just here to produce.

Here’s a ritual for this week, aligned with the current zodiacal season. Minimal supplies. Maximum reclamation.

Air + Disruption

Supplies:

  • Paper

  • Scissors

Steps:

  1. Write the pattern you’re done repeating.

  2. Cut the paper into strips — slowly, deliberately.

  3. Whisper as you cut: I release the version of me that maintained this.

  4. Scatter the strips in the recycling or compost.

You don’t owe your past self continuity.
You owe your present self freedom.

✊ HEX

Against the Freeze of Fear

This week, we hex terror itself.

The kind that freezes the body.
The kind that isolates neighbors from one another.
The kind that turns communities cold. Numb. Afraid to move, speak, or gather.

We name Minneapolis.
We stand with the people who are living under the weight of state violence, surveillance, and loss.

We stand with communities who are being told — explicitly or implicitly — to keep their heads down and their hearts small.

So this hex is not about destruction.

It’s about melting the ice.

We hex the conditions that make fear feel inevitable.
We hex systems that rely on shock and intimidation to keep people compliant.
We hex the lie that safety comes from silence or separation.

And we bless something warmer in its place:

We bless neighbors who check on each other.
We bless communities that gather anyway.
We bless the quiet courage of showing up… not loud, not perfect, just present.

May the ice of terror melt.
May the freeze in the nervous system thaw.
May people remember they are not alone. And have never been.

Because authoritarian power wants us cold, scattered, and afraid.

And what undoes it every time is warmth, connection, and people who refuse to disappear.

ACTION TO TAKE: The House of Representatives passed an appropriations bill yesterday that increased ICE funding. It still has to pass the Senate. Call both of your Senators and demand they defund ICE. An easy way to do that is to download the 5 Calls app. The appropriate phone numbers are linked right in the app. There are scripts to read when the voicemail or staffer picks up.

This terror will only continue if we allow it.

“But my Senators are going to vote the way we want them to. I live in a blue state.” ← Great. Call and thank them.

“But my Senators are going to vote for the funding anyway. I live in a red state.” ← No. Stop it. I live in Missouri. Josh Hawley and Eric Schmitt are my Senators. These people work for US. WE are their employer. And they need to know that they risk losing the next election. Unless they hear from you, they will have no idea that they represent you. And unless you express your concerns directly to them, they won’t know what they are.

Scared of the phone? Fine. Go to the Senate website and submit a form to express your concern via email.

MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD. DEMAND THAT THEY STOP THE TERROR.

This is not the time for paralysis. It’s the time for collective action.

With clarity and courage,
Keli
